Debt collector is a law firm and got a court order to put a hold on my account for twice the money that is in dispute.

Did you have a court judgment against you?
Banks, whether intentionally or not can betray you and cannot be trusted. They’re usually okay for small amounts, but you can’t depend on them beyond that. “Safety” deposit boxes are also not safe.

If your state allows the garnishment then:
If the business is a C Corp then no. If you are a sole proprietorship, partnership, or anything else, then yes.
